Emergency Response Volunteer (North West London)
When there is a fire, flood or severe weather, we’re among the first to respond. From making a cup of tea to deliver the essentials, we work with other organisations to do what’s needed straight away.

This is a 24 hour service.

We are recruiting for volunteers based in surrounding boroughs including Enfield, Barnet, Brent, Ealing and Hillingdon who live within 45 minutes travelling time from the base at British Red Cross office, Harrow (HA1 2JL)

Driving is essential for this role; you should have held a driving licence for at least 2 years which allows you to drive in the UK.

Available to be on-call for 2 X 12 hour shifts a month on a rota basis covering a 24/7 rota. We are looking for varied availability including day time, night time and weekends.

Able to regularly attend team meetings once a month at British Red Cross UK office, 44 Moorfields, London EC2Y 9AL.

Ability to commit to ongoing service specific training.

Due to the nature of this role, applicants must undergo an Enhanced with Adults barred Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
