Refugee Support - Project Volunteer (Aztec Row, London)

Do you want to make a difference to the lives of refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants? You could help them to draw on their own strengths to cope with crisis and to rebuild their lives.

The British Red Cross is a volunteer led organisation and the UK’s largest independent provider of services and support for refugees and people seeking asylum.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help support refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants to adjust to life in a new country. This could be giving advice on how to access services, providing emotional support, helping with our group work, or giving emergency support at our drop-in centres.

We would like you to:

• Be able to volunteer on a regular, weekly basis.
• Be able to attend every Thursday from 5:30pm to 7:40pm during school term times.
• Be available to volunteer for at least 12 months.

Due to the nature of this role we are unable to accept applications from individuals aged 15-17 years old, do get in touch and we can let you know what other suitable opportunities there may be near you.

We would be particularly interested to hear from you if you are (or have been) an asylum seeker or refugee.
